Thanks you from Dave the Cyclist after we gave him first aid after he crashed after hitting a sheep...... Go back to News Page
Just to say thanks again to you and your party for all your help on Sunday. It would have been a long and painful walk down the hill on my own
I did have to go to hospital in the end. The original crew didn’t think it was necessary but the haematoma grew, it kept on bleeding and one of the hotel staff, who works for the fire service, said I needed it checked out. Fortunately another crew was just around the corner so I was taken quickly
All the scans were clear and no broken bones or kidney damage. Been very lucky. In watching the video in slow motion, I was still attached to the bike when I landed, hence the minimal damage to the bike. The sheep is OK too!
If I’d have landed any other way I would have broken something; hips, wrist, elbow, collar bone etc., so been very fortunate
I’m managing better as the days go on; driving is very difficult as the lump is very painful and causes issues on corners, roundabouts and speed bumps! Quite stiff in other places too now as the main pain subsides. The scratches are healing quite well, but they reckon it could take 2-3 weeks for the swelling to go down
Thanks again. Let me know the name of your party and I’ll make sure you get a mention on facebook!
Cheers
Dave

Hi Peter,
Can I please pass on my thanks to all concerned through the W.A.M,. newsletter.
Passed my test on the 21st of November, not without incident. I'm sure the driver who decided at the last minute to turn right in front of me at traffic lights understood what Chris my examiner was conveying to him. Big thank you to all the observers who showed immense patients with me, especially Bob.

Just to let you know I passed today, 14th November. Started at Colwyn Bay station and went to Abergele, Dyserth, Minera and little places I can't remember yet alone pronounce! Ended up at Holywell/A55. Thanks for getting me involved - see you on a Sunday or at a club night.
Cheers Tim
Dear All,
I don't know how, but I managed to obtain a pass from
Chris today. I was really poor ( or so it felt) but he
decided to pass me.
I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all the
observers and trainee observers (you know who you are)
who have given their time, skill, advice and
friendship over the last few months. I really do
appreciate your the effort you all put in.
See you at the monthly meeting
Many thanks
Allyn C
Looks like I'm going to have to change my opinion about our scouse / renegade / anal/bullying / sometimes old / sometimes semi-bald / always right observers, as it seems most of us have passed our tests so far.
It's a bit like "I'm an associate get me out of here!" not neccessarily pleasant at the time and sometimes hard to swallow, but when you look back at the experience they aren't a bad bunch.
Thank you to you all.
Regards
Mark (not scouse/slightly renegade/anal (hmm)/nearly old/not bald but grey/definateley always right)
Hi Allyn,
very much relieved I didn't let the side down. Chris wasn't as scary as all the stories said he was! A bit of a pussy cat really.
He actually said it was a good ride out and he enjoyed it! Just commented on a couple of missed over-takes, but over all he had no problems with my riding. All down to the excellant advise and encouragement of our excellant observers.
Well done Allyn Tania
