WAM have recieved information about Dragon Moto Tours and their tour itinery for 2012. They are run by Geraint and Jan Hughes. Some of you may have met Geraint - he has conducted some of WAM's IAM tests.

2012, a New Year and certainly the start of something new for us. This newsletter is to let you know that we are starting as Dragon Moto Tours and to inform you of our plans for 2012. A small introduction as to who we are and what we are about although some of you reading this newsletter will already know us. For those who don’t…….
We are Geraint, (aka “John”, he’s reverting to his Welsh forename in this next stage of his working life!), and Jan Hughes, both of us are motorcycle riders although Geraint is the one with the experience having qualified as a police motorcyclist in 1993 and remained operational until 2008 when he moved over to teaching Police Advanced car driving. Geraint is an IAM motorcycle examiner and a former BikeSafe presenter. Jan has held her motorcycle licence since March 2008 having previously ridden pillion with Geraint over many thousands of miles.
Our passion for motorcycling has seen us cover not only the UK but a vast majority of Western Europe and areas of the West and East Coasts of the USA. We have toured on our own, as clients and also as tour leaders and we get the most satisfaction from knowing that riders and pillions who travel with us, enjoy themselves.
For 2012 we have 5 full ride out days, 4 UK based mini tours, 1 mini tour of Northern France and a tour of France and Italy planned. Geraint is also running assessment days either on a One-to-One or Two-to-One basis.

Throughout 2012 we will be working in association with Hammer & Tongs Performance of Warrington and you can also link into us via their website www.hammerntongs.co.uk or via their facebook page “Hammer and Tongs Performance”.
Our Itinerary:-
2012 Ride Outs – 5 planned, run under the “corner marking” system.
Sunday April 1st “Nearly round the Wrekin” 10am start until approx 3.30pm finish.
Sunday May 13th North Wales 9am start until approx 4pm finish
Sunday June 24th “North of Warrington” 9am start until approx 4pm finish
Sunday Oct 7th Welsh Borders 9.30am start until approx 3.30pm finish
Sunday Nov 4th Shropshire Marches 10am start until approx 3.30pm finish
2012 Mini Tours – 5 planned (Links open up a Microsoft Word document)
13th to 15th April 2012 Mid Wales 2 nights to include Presentation on “How to read the Road”
1st – 4th June 2012 Northern France 3 nights in the Somme region including A guided motorcycle tour of Battlefields from a local expert
27th – 29th July 2012 Mid / South Wales 2 nights
14th – 17th Sept 2012 Scottish Borders 3 nights
19th to 21st Oct 2012 North Wales 2 nights
2012 European Tour
1st to 9th Sept 2012 France & Italy 8 nights
Assessment Days
One to One Sessions 5 hours £90
Two to One Sessions 6.5 hours £70 per person
